Melissa Tabke is the 17-year-old daughter of Bruce Tabke and Catherine Friesen, both of Marcus. She has two siblings, Matthew, 15 and Michal, 5. Melissa will be a senior this fall at Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn High School. Melissa keeps busy with band, jazz band, choir, drill team, leadership team, art club, basketball, 4-H, County Council, High School Rodeo and in her free time, she works at Jeff’s Foods and the Heartland Care Center as an activity aid. During the summer, Melissa enjoys running NBHA, participating in fun days and jackpots, and helping with and participating in 4-H activities. After high school, Melissa plans to attend either Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas or SDSU in Brookings, South Dakota for animal science. After obtaining her degree in animal science, she plans to go to veterinary school or medical school. Some day she would like to work in a third world country, teaching people how to raise livestock more efficiently or as a doctor. |
